This message is to thank you for treating the position of Honourable Member with the respect it deserves and for being a caring constituency MP. You would certainly ressurect Parliament from the shame that now surrounds it but I do hope that your constituents will not lose you to the Speakers Chair!
Although not a socialist, I had every respect for Betty Boothroyd when she was 'Madam Speaker' because she was even-handed across all parties and Members. With her permission, I called one of my show labradors Keene's Betty Boothroyd,and her daughter Keene's Baroness Boothroyd; in correspondence with her, I found that she had a brilliant sense of humour.
Anyway, hang on to NW Hants please!!! |
